A major problem with today's political discourse is that if you aren't agreeing 100% with every single thing we say then you are automatically an extremist of the other political alignment.

Disagree with a government's policy to lock up or abuse people who haven't taken an untested, experimental drug? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with a government's policy to force a portion of the population to not work, to stay indoors? You're a right wing extremist, and a granny killer to boot.

Disagree with a government's policy to close schools because children are not at risk to an illness that they will get anyway? You're a right wing extremist, and still a granny killer.

Disagree with a government's policy to separate immigrant children from their parents? You're a left wing extremist.

Disagree with a government's border policies that are overwhelming towns and cities where immigrants are being stationed, with no policies in place to integrate them? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with school policies that are worsening educational standards? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with school policies to add foreign languages to the curriculum when the standards for the existing regional language(s) are terrible? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with a government targeting a political opponent with policies that they didn't follow for their own people? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with a government policy that favors practitioners of one religion over another? You're a right wing extremist. Or maybe a left wing extremist, depending upon what the religion is.

Disagree with funding a war instead of looking for a peace settlement? You're a right wing extremist. Or maybe a left-wing extremist, depending on what the country is.

Disagree with one country meddling in the affairs of another? You're a right wing extremist. Or maybe a left wing extremist, depending on who's doing the meddling.

Disagree with allowing near-term abortions when the mother's life is not in danger? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with the government monitoring and censoring speech, which is against the country's laws? You're a right wing extremist. Or maybe a left wing extremist, depending on what you're discussing.

Disagree with the government using honeytraps to push people to take actions they wouldn't have were it not for the plot? You're a right wing extremist, or maybe a left wing extremist, depending on the specifics.

Disagree with a company's being handed billions to do what it should be able to fund itself? You're a left wing extremist. Or maybe a right wing extremist, depending on the company.

Disagree with a company not being sued for malpractice for its products injuring people? You're a left wing extremist, unless it's a company that makes products labeled "vaccine", in which case you're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with a government using a tragedy for a political agenda that won't have the stated goals and will lead to significant problems that are being ignored? You're a right wing extremist. Or left wing extremist, depending upon what the agenda is.

Disagree with a complete ban on abortion? You're a left wing extremist.

Disagree with plans to destroy a country's farming industry only to import all of the food instead, all because of cow farts? You're a right wing extremist.

Disagree with a government's policies that have shown before to not work? You're a right wing extremist. Or left wing extremist, depending upon who's in power.

There's no such thing as a middle ground anymore, on every topic imaginable you're either with the current plan 100% or you're an extremist of the other side and should not be allowed to express your opinion, leave your house, have a job, have children, eat food, etc.

Can we please get back to "where we value the "inherent dignity of all people"" and are willing to have detailed, nuanced conversations with each other about topics that cannot be summarized in a two second soundbite?
